The Boston Scientific NC EMERGE™ PTCA Dilatation Catheter is a noncompliant coronary balloon catheter designed to deliver precise balloon expansion, excellent deliverability, and dependable post-dilatation performance during PCI procedures. Boston Scientific describes NC EMERGE as its “most advanced PTCA catheter,” highlighting an ultra-low lesion entry profile, over-the-inner tip design, and reduced shaft profile to support performance in tortuous anatomy.
Engineered for interventional cardiology, the NC EMERGE is intended for balloon dilation of the stenotic portion of a coronary artery or bypass graft stenosis to improve myocardial perfusion. The official instructions for use also state that balloon models 2.00 mm to 5.00 mm are indicated for the post-delivery expansion of balloon-expandable stents, making the catheter suitable for both lesion preparation and post-stent optimization.
The catheter’s design focuses on control and lesion access in challenging coronary anatomy.
