The Boston Scientific SYNERGY™ SHIELD Stent System is an everolimus-eluting platinum chromium coronary stent system designed to improve coronary luminal diameter in patients with symptomatic ischemic heart disease due to de novo native coronary artery lesions.

Stent Platform: Platinum chromium stent platform designed for flexibility, radial strength, and visibility under fluoroscopy
Drug: Everolimus-eluting coronary stent system for percutaneous coronary intervention
Polymer: Bioabsorbable abluminal PLGA polymer coating to deliver everolimus and then resorb over time
Drug Release Profile: Polymer degradation is essentially complete by about 4 months in vivo, with drug release occurring over approximately 3 months
Available Sizes: Available in multiple diameter groups, including 2.25 mm to 5.00 mm, with lengths including extended configurations up to 48 mm on the product family

Clinical Applications
Indicated for improving luminal diameter in patients with symptomatic ischemic heart disease, including patients with stable angina, unstable angina, non-ST elevation myocardial infarction, documented silent ischemia, and certain high-risk groups such as patients with diabetes mellitus or high bleeding risk, in native coronary arteries within the labeled size range
Used in coronary angioplasty and stent placement procedures where drug-eluting stent therapy is clinically appropriate
