The Boston Scientific Rotaburr™ Rotational Atherectomy Burr is a precision-engineered diamond-coated atherectomy burr designed for the treatment of heavily calcified coronary artery lesions during complex percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) procedures.
Used with the ROTAPRO™ Rotational Atherectomy System, the Rotaburr enables interventional cardiologists to modify rigid calcified plaque and improve vessel compliance prior to balloon angioplasty or coronary stent implantation.

This advanced atherectomy device features a diamond-coated elliptical burr tip that rotates at extremely high speeds to selectively ablate calcified plaque within the coronary artery.
The rotational mechanism pulverizes hardened plaque into microscopic particles that are small enough to pass through the coronary microcirculation, helping restore vessel patency and facilitate subsequent device delivery.

The Rotaburr is designed to work over the ROTAWire™ guidewire and rotates concentrically along the wire path, allowing physicians to maintain controlled lesion modification while navigating complex coronary anatomy.
This mechanism helps create a smooth and predictable lumen diameter, enabling safer balloon expansion and optimal stent deployment in calcified vessels.
